About

Cloverdale Mine is a mining camp located at just above 11,000 feet in the Cloverdale Basin of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, San Isabel National Forest, Custer County of southern Colorado, USA. Our purpose is to form a union of friends and neighbors in support of the enterprise that is the historic Cloverdale Mine. Our goal is to provide updates, progress toward State Historic Landmark status, and share the past and present of this wonderous place. This website is dedicated to the many lifelong memories, the legacy of Bill Humble, and the ongoing work of and for the preservation of his Cloverdale mine and basin.  Developed for his family and friends this website is a reminder of how Bill touched our lives with humor, stories, intriguing inventions, and a deep appreciation of the long ago mining past.  He opened his mining camp to his friends and their families and each of us was touched with his loyal friendship.
